Now we are preparing for Shiira 0.9.4 release. This version contains extra string resources which are reqired to be localized. Please localize them from below Web forms, if you are interesting in it.

If the language you speak is not in below list and want to add it, please let us know. We will add new Web forms for it.

What information we need to know is the .lproj folder name. This is the folder which contains localized resources. And its name represents the language code. You can retireive this name by the information panel of Finder, or check the contents of an application package which may contain many .lproj folders.

Shiira originally provides English and Japanese menu and GUI dialogs, because my native language is Japanese :-) But I understand that many people wants to use the applications by their native language. Fortunately, Mac OS X provides an excellent resource localization system. In order to localize Shiira, we ask you to help us.

The final goal of Shiira localization is simple. That is to provide all language resources Mac OS X can support. Currently, Mac OS X supports Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese.

To finish application localization, you have to translate all localizable resources in .nib files and .strings files an application has. However, to localize .nib files, you need to use Interface Builder (which is in Developer Tools CD). That is not easy for all user.

So, we created the web form for the localization. With this form, a person who can use a web browser can join Shiira localization! If you are interested in it, click the following links. It shows the web form page to enter localized items.
